LEV Testing

Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems require testing every 14 months under the current Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH).

The LEV test is designed to prove the effiency of a fume extraction system. It relies on the usage of calibrated instruments to identify airflow movement, plus the engineers experience to identify any practical faults and defects, that might affect the performance of an LEV system.

Every employer who provides any LEV to meet the regulations shall ensure: “it is maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order, in good repair and in a clean condition” – Regulation 9 -1 COSHH

Upon completion of onsite testing a report is produced that contains the findings of the test, and where applicable any recommended action that is required to make a system conform. The report is written in strict accordance to regulation guidance and includes an authentic certificate.
